Noah Schultz Scratched from Start on Saturday
Noah Schultz was warming up when something did not feel right, and he was subsequently scratched from his start on Saturday for Triple-A Charlotte with what is being described as right knee discomfort. Chicago's top-ranked prospect (MLB No. 15) was set to make his fourth start for the Knights, looking to improve upon his bloated 11.91 ERA and 2.29 WHIP that he's recorded so far through three starts at Triple-A. Before that, the southpaw had recorded a 3.34 ERA and 1.59 WHIP at Double-A prior to his promotion. The 6-foot-10 hurler hadn't shown control problems before 2025, but this year he's had the same walk rate between both levels, coming in at 14.4 percent, which has given him a lowly 8.8 percent K-BB% for the year. It's not clear if he'll need to miss any additional starts, but a 2025 MLB debut is looking less and less likely.
