Noah Schultz Dominating In Double-A
6 months agoChicago White Sox pitching prospect Noah Schultz started the 2024 season with High-A Winston-Salem, posting a 3.95 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, and 42:7 K:BB in 27 1/3 innings. Following a start on May 18, he was promoted to Double-A Birmingham. Since then, he's been impeccable. Through 11 2/3 innings, he's allowed just five hits, one run, and no walks. He's also collected 14 strikeouts. Between High-A and Double-A, Schultz has a 3.00 ERA, 0.77 WHIP, and 56:7 K:BB in 39 innings. Notably, he hasn't thrown more than four innings in a start this season. Preferring to err on the side of caution and limit the 20-year-old lefty's workload, the White Sox aren't expected to promote Schultz to the big leagues until 2026.
