Nikita Kucherov Surpasses 100-Point Mark With Big Performance
10 months agoTampa Bay Lightning right wing Nikita Kucherov toyed with the Devils on Sunday and became the first player to hit the 100-point mark this season. He was involved in all the goals in a 4-1 road victory, picking up three assists and icing the game with an empty-net goal. Having played in his 59th game of the year, Kucherov improved his own franchise record (62 games) for the fewest games required to get to 100 points in a season. The former MVP is now the fifth active NHLer with at least four 100-point campaigns. Kucherov has posted 38 goals and 64 assists, and he has a great shot at beating his current career high of 128 points, which is also an all-time record among Russian-born players.
