According to Bill Spaulding of MSG Networks, New Jersey Devils goaltender Nico Daws will get the starting nod against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday evening. This will be Daws' first start of the 2024 campaign. He appeared in one game on Sunday, February 2, in relief of Jake Allen. He stopped all seven shots he faced. With Jakob Markstrom (knee) still sidelined, fantasy managers should continue to expect Allen and Daws to control the crease for the foreseeable future. Allen has seen five straight starts leading up to Tuesday but will cede duties to Daws. Last season, Daws appeared in 21 games and held a 9-11 record with a 3.15 GAA and a .894% SV. Given his lack of NHL experience this season and previous struggles at this level, DFS managers should view him as a high-risk option against the Penguins.--Andy Smith
