Nick Lodolo Improves To 8-2 Tuesday
6 months agoCincinnati Reds starting pitcher Nick Lodolo turned in another strong start in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Pirates. Lodolo pitched seven innings, allowing one run on four hits (including a solo home run) and no walks with eight strikeouts. He also hit a batter. The 26-year-old has been excellent this season, going 8-2 with a 2.76 ERA, a 9.64 K/9 rate, and a 2.07 BB/9 rate in 11 starts and 65 1/3 IP. Six of his 11 starts have been quality starts, including his last four. Now healthy, Lodolo is starting to show why he was a top fantasy prospect several seasons ago. He will have a chance to continue his quality start streak in his next scheduled matchup, which will be a rematch against the Pirates in Cincinnati.
