The Oakland Athletics have agreed to terms with first baseman Nick Kurtz, the fourth overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft. The first baseman winds up signing for around $1.4 million under the slot value, but will still come home with a cool $7 million signing bonus. Not too bad for the 21-year-old out of Wake Forest. Kurtz had a huge year for the Demon Deacons where he hit .306 with 22 homers and 57 RBI in 173 at-bats. One of the better developed bats in the draft, Kurtz has the ability to work quickly through the Athletics system. For now, he is only an option for dynasty managers to keep an eye on.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBallerRead More News
