Mitch Trubisky Taking Chances In Practice
5 years agoChicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky is not expected to play much, if at all, Friday against the Giants in the second preseason game. This follows more of what Head Coach Matt Nagy designed last season by sitting most of his starters for the entire preseason. Reports have been mixed about Trubisky as open training camp has officially come to a close. Some argue that Trubisky is going up against an elite defense every day, making interceptions and a stagnant offense more common. Offensive coaches will contend that Trubisky is attempting throws to push the envelope and take chances now instead of the regular season. The Bears still have over three weeks until they open their season against Green Bay on September 5. But the third-year quarterback's camp has been inconsistent thus far as fantasy drafts draw closer.
