Minnesota Vikings D/ST Must Start In Week 1
3 months agoThe Minnesota Vikings will bring their exotic and confusing defensive scheme on the road against the New York Giants in Week 1, and they are a must-start and should be picked up in every league. The Vikings' defense, led by defensive coordinator Brian Flores, used unique blitz packages last year to confuse opposing offenses in 2023, which didn't result in many sacks. However, the team boosted their defense by adding three players that can generate pass rush individually by signing Jonathan Greenard and Andrew Van Ginkel in free agency and drafted Dallas Turner in the first round. This new-look pass rush for Minnesota will meet up with a Giants offense that allowed the most sacks in the league last year and is starting a turnover-prone quarterback in Daniel Jones. The Vikings are ranked ninth in RotoBaller's Week 1 DST rankings and make an excellent streaming option for managers for the regular season opener.
