Mike Tauchman Goes Deep Twice As Yankees Win Again

The New York Yankees' 2019 season has been defined by numerous injuries and unsung heroes coming out of nowhere. One of them has been outfielder Mike Tauchman, who was the final player to make the opening day roster and has made the most of his playing time. With all the injuries thrusting Tauchman into a near-everyday role, the 28-year-old has been superb, and on Monday night he had two of the biggest hits of the game. He smacked a solo home run in the sixth and later a two-run home run in the eighth as the Yankees pulled ahead for good, 9-6. For the season, he's now batting .294 with nine home runs and 34 RBI in 59 games.
