1 month agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Mike Minor allowed six runs in 5 2/3 innings Wednesday night vs the Angels. Minor cruised through three innings before allowing two runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth before being removed from the game. Minor had gone at least seven innings in each of his previous three outings so this is likely just a blip on the radar for the big lefty who is having a strong season. Minor has a 3.17 ERA and a 4.05 FIP while generating swinging strikes at a very good 11.7 rate which has lead to 171 strikeouts in 167 2/3 innings this season. He'll look to bounce back against Tuesday when he'll get a rematch against the Angels in Southern California.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
