Mike Leake Loses Again
6 years agoSeattle Mariners starter Mike Leake allowed five runs on seven hits in six innings as the Mariners lost to the Diamondbacks 5-2. Leake (8-8) will have to wait until his next turn in the rotation to pick up his first win since June 23 and is 0-4 over his last 10 starts. The right-hander has pitched better in the month of August, posting a 3.38 ERA with a 1.05 WHIP but can't seem to crack the win column. The Mariners playoff hopes are beginning to fade and the veteran will be no more than a middling fantasy play moving forward.
