Calgary Flames forward Mikael Backlund (upper body) has been listed as week-to-week. He suffered an upper-body injury on Wednesday against the Vancouver Canucks. On Friday against the Colorado Avalanche, the Swedish veteran will miss his first regular-season game since 2020-21. Calgary will also be without Connor Zary (suspension) on Friday, giving Dryden Hunt and Adam Klapka a chance to play. They will likely be limited to bottom-six minutes and should remain on the waiver wire in fantasy leagues. The two have combined for only one point across 14 NHL appearances this season.--Taavi Pailk
