For Sunday's Go Bowling at the Glen at Watkins Glen International, Michael McDowell will start 10th. This will be the third Cup event in a row at Watkins Glen, where McDowell will begin inside the Top 10. In 14 races at the site, McDowell has six top-20 finishes, all scored within the last eight Cup events. McDowell's best finish at WGI was sixth in 2022 and he obtained positive PD four times at the site in is Cup career. With 27 races completed so far in 2024, McDowell has six top-10 finishes, including a finish of fifth at the Chicago Street Course and a runner-up finish at Sonoma earlier in the year. In practice, McDowell ranked second in overall lap averages and had the best 15 consecutive lap average of the field. Due to his road racing background, great practice speeds in the long run and overall proficiency at road courses this year, McDowell is one of the better DFS options available who could compete for the win.--Sean Engel - RotoBaller
