Michael King Heading To Injured List
Michael King (shoulder) has been placed on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to May 22. This comes a day after King was scratched from his start against the Atlanta Braves due to a shoulder issue. King is now being placed on the injured list due to right-shoulder inflammation. This is a shame, considering King was pitching well with a 2.59 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 64/17 K/BB across 10 starts this season. The expectation is that he'll only miss a few weeks, so fantasy managers should stash him on the injured list. In a corresponding move, right-hander David Morgan has been recalled from Triple-A. The expectation is that Stephen Kolek will remain in the starting rotation with King going down.
