11 months agoLos Angeles Chargers kicker Michael Badgley was the hero on Sunday night as he knocked through the game-winning kick as time expired, but getting there took an odd series of events. Facing a 39-yard field goal opportunity with three seconds left in a primetime game, Badgley missed. Fortunately, Pittsburgh’s defense was clearly offsides, so he got a second chance from five yards closer. From 34 yards out, the kick was blocked, but once again, the Steelers defense was way offsides. Finally, from 29 yards away, Badgley knocked one through the uprights (even though the Pittsburgh defense was offsides once again), and the game was over. Hopefully, no fantasy matchups hinged on the extra point(s) Badgley would have gotten for making it from 10 yards further out.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
