SNY's Andy Martino reported Tuesday that the New York Mets are "forging ahead" with their pursuit of Japanese right-handed starting pitcher Kodai Senga. The Mets have lost several key starting rotation pieces to the free-agent market and will need to fill those spots in order to remain towards the top of the National League East. Senga is being pursued by numerous teams and will meet with the Mets when visiting the United States, sources told Martino. The 29-year-old compiled a 2.59 ERA and a 10.3 K/9 rate over more than 1,000 innings pitched in 11 seasons for Nippon Professional Baseball's Fukuoka Softbank Hawks.--Connelly Doan - RotoBallerRead More News
