6 years agoLos Angeles Chargers defensive end Melvin Ingram was one of the 11 men tasked with holding the Chiefs’ impressive offense down for one series late in the fourth quarter on Thursday, and he did it in style. Facing a 3rd-and-13 from his own 8-yard line, MVP-candidate Patrick Mahomes was looking to make a big play to put the Chargers away. Instead, Ingram and Isaac Rochell were having none of it. The pair broke through the line and brought down Mahomes to ensure LA’s offense would get one more chance. With that chance, the Chargers offense did their job and won the game. It wasn’t an amazing game by the defense overall, but when the time came, Ingram and the rest of the boys stepped up and took care of business.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
