Maxx Crosby 2024 Outlook: All-Around Contributor
6 months agoEight players recorded 14 or more sacks in the NFL in 2023, and Crosby was one of them. Of the 42 players at the top of last year's sack totals, only two collected 80+ total tackles and 20+ TFLs. Crosby is one of them. Of the NFL's top 56 sackers in 2023, only one registered 90 total tackles. Can you guess who that was? In fact, Crosby finished at or near the top of all edge rushers in sacks, TFLs, total tackles, and quarterback pressures. Perhaps the only red flag for Crosby is that he ranked just 45th in Pass Rush Win Rate, according to PFF. Regardless of your format, Crosby is a top-tier fantasy DL. He is particularly valuable in Standard Scoring, where his run support and tackling helped elevate him to DL4 in both points per game and total points. The fact Crosby has never finished better than seventh in sacks and has forced just five turnovers in the past four years should drop him a bit in Big Play Premium Scoring, but he's a top-tier DL in Standard and Tackle Premium Scoring.
