Ottawa Senators defenseman Maxime Lajoie impressed immensely during the preseason and earned himself a roster spot with the Senators this year. Lajoie was drafted in the fifth round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft and looks to already have made leaps in his game after playing 56 games with the Belleville Senators last year, amassing 15 points. Lajoie has shown his ability to be a two-way defenseman in the WHL, amassing a 42 point season in 68 games with the Swift Current Broncos. Lajoie will only start with third pairing time right now, however, pretty much anyone who performs will be given time on an Ottawa team that struggles depth-wise, especially on defense. He holds no fantasy value unless he is promoted to either the powerplay or at least second pairing.--CadenRead More News
