Max Muncy Rounding Into Shape As Playoffs Loom
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers infielder Max Muncy will take a strong final week of the season into the Dodgers matchup against the Nationals in the NLDS beginning on Thursday. Muncy missed time with a right wrist fracture mid-season but finished the year 8-for-25 (.320) with nine runs batted in over his last seven games played. Muncy has emerged as a top-tier power hitter this season, posting a .889 OPS with 35 home runs through 487 at-bats. The Dodgers will face Nationals left-handed starter Patrick Corbin to open the series and Muncy has posted a .529 slugging percentage against left-handed pitching this season.
