Matt Murray Keeps Caps At Bay Long Enough For Comeback Win
7 years agoSurely Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Matt Murray wasn't worried during Game 1 on April 26 despite an early 1-0 deficit. He likely knew that his team was capable of catching fire at any time, and he was right. Murray stonewalled the Washington Capitals in the second period and then allowed a second goal and then saw the Pens do what they do best, score goals in bunches in a short time. Ultimately, Murray was the winning goalie as Pittsburgh won, 3-2. Despite letting in two goals, he's still a strong choice for goalie in any game.
