Utah Hockey Club left wing Matias Maccelli will skip Sunday's meeting with the Washington Capitals as a healthy scratch. He will need to settle for a spot in the press box for a third time in seven games. After sitting out Thursday's 3-2 overtime win against the Columbus Blue Jackets, Maccelli returned to the lineup for Saturday's matchup versus the Carolina Hurricanes. He finished a big 7-3 loss with one power-play assist, one shot on goal, one block, and a minus-one rating. The Finnish winger has tallied 18 points (eight goals, 10 assists) in 52 appearances this season, but nine of the points came in Maccelli's first 17 outings. Enforcer Liam O'Brien will join the lineup in place of Maccelli on Sunday.--Taavi Pailk
