2 years agoNew York Islanders center Mathew Barzal was a late scratch Friday against Calgary due to a lower-body injury. Head coach Lane Lambert said after the game that Barzal is dealing with a "tweak". The injury doesn't sound serious and the team is considering Barzal day-to-day. New York's star man was forced to exit the lineup with a five-game goal streak. Barzal has been making up for lost time after struggling massively to score at the start of the campaign. He leads the team with 41 points in 40 games, and with the next matchup not coming until Monday, there seems to be a good chance that Barzal misses only this one game.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
