Mason Albright Bounces Back In Recent Outing
4 months agoColorado Rockies starting pitching prospect Mason Albright responded well in his most recent outing after having a rough stretch. In this start, the southpaw logged seven shutout frames while striking out three and allowing only three hits. However, before this outing, the 21-year-old carried a hefty 8.86 ERA and a 2.06 WHIP in his previous five starts. Overall, Albright's first look at Double-A has not gone smoothly as he carries a 4.87 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and a 36:68 BB:K ratio across 94 frames of work. However, the IMG Academy product posted a 2.88 ERA and a 1.44 WHIP last summer at High-A. Albright currently sits outside of the top 30 prospects in the Rockies system on MLB.com, but if he can string together a solid finish to the summer, he may find his way onto this list next season.
