Martin Truex Jr. has not enjoyed Texas Motor Speedway much the past few races. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver has an average finish of 12.5 on intermediate tracks. However, that number drops to 21.8 since 2020 when it comes to the Texas 1.5-mile course. Truex Jr. has one top-five result (a second in 2020). He led 15 laps last year when a blown out tire ruined his run. 2021 saw another accident take out the No. 19 car. Usually, he fares well on low-wear intermediate tracks. Truex Jr. (qualified 16th) needs a good result early with Talladega and Charlotte (ROVAL) looming for the second leg of the playoff chase.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
