Mark Scheifele Open To Staying With Jets
1 year agoWinnipeg Jets center Mark Scheifele has announced he's open to staying with the team. Scheifele's future has been a source for speculation all offseason, with the team having suffered another playoff disappointment and the 30-year-old forward having just one year left on his contract, but it looks like he is ready to commit his future to the Jets once again if things work out well in 2023-24. Scheifele has been a Jet all his career, registering 645 points (272 goals, 26 assists) in 723 games. He had a career-high 42 goals last season during a 68-point campaign. Starting goaltender Connor Hellebuyck, who's another pending unrestricted free agent on the Winnipeg roster, has also suggested that he could still remain with the team past the 2023-24 campaign.
