Malik Monk Scores 21 Points In 23 Minutes
6 years agoCharlotte Hornets shooting guard Malik Monk had an efficient night in the loss to the Thunder. Monk scored 21 points on 7-for-15 shooting from the field, converting on 4-of-12 three-point opportunities. He dished out two assists but turned the ball over three times. He logged 23 minutes off the bench. Monk is competing for playing time with Jeremy Lamb and will be relying on solid performances to earn him more minutes as the season progresses. His 21 points tonight were a season-high, and he hit all three of his free-throws, something which he has excelled at this season. In fact, Monk hasn’t missed from the charity strike a single time this year. He could be in line for increased minutes if he can continue to perform at a high level.
