Seattle Mariners catcher Luis Torrens was recalled from Triple-A Tacoma Monday. Relief pitcher Yohan Ramirez was sent down to make room for Torrens. Torrens struggled to a .519 OPS in 90 at-bats after making the major-league roster out of spring training, but he had more success for the Tacoma Rainiers, slashing .219/.318/.521 with six homers and 19 RBI in 19 games. It remains to be seen how much playing time Torrens will get, but it won't be enough to make him worthy of an add in fantasy leagues.--Doug Goldring
