Ludvig Aberg Seeks Second Tour Victory At Travelers
6 months agoLudvig Aberg has quickly become a household name in his first PGA Tour season. The 24-year-old Swede has impressively finished inside of the top-15 in 12 of his 17 starts as a rookie, including two runner-up results and an outright victory at the RSM Classic back in November. Aberg unsurprisingly should be a solid course fit once again at TPC River Highlands, as he ranks first in strokes gained off-the-tee, sixth on approach, ninth in opportunities gained, and first in Bentgrass putting. And while his length off-the-tee is a massive differentiator for him, surprisingly he's the third best golfer in the field in strokes gained on short courses over the last 24 rounds. Aberg finished T24 in his first Travelers Championship appearance last year despite uncharacteristically losing over three strokes on approach. Fantasy managers should expect a return to his elite ball-striking in this year's rendition, and it would come as no surprise to see Aberg pick up his second Tour victory come Sunday evening.
