Logan Thompson Picks Up Win No. 30
Washington Capitals goaltender Logan Thompson picked up the 30th victory of the season on Tuesday evening against the Detroit Red Wings. Thompson stopped 23 of the 24 shots he saw. His lone blemish came in the opening frame when Dylan Larkin beat him with a snap shot. Thompson would go on to shut the door for the remaining two periods. This outing extended his winning streak to an impressive five games. During this stretch, Thompson has held a .907 save percentage with a 2.36 GAA. Through 39 games this season, Thompson has held an impressive 30-4-5 record. The 28-year-old has posted a .917 save percentage with a 2.29 GAA and two shutouts. He remains a must-start goaltender in all matchups and a top play in DFS.
