Logan Evans Named Pitcher Of The Week After Perfect Outing
4 months agoSeattle Mariners starting pitching prospect Logan Evans logged his best start of his 2024 campaign earlier this week. On August 9, the Pittsburgh product tossed six perfect innings while tallying seven punchouts. He was named Texas League Pitcher of the Week as a result. This was also a nice bounce back for the 23-year-old, as he held a 6.00 ERA, 1.92 WHIP, and a 6:8 BB:K ratio across his past 12 innings. Evans has spent the entire summer at Double-A and has looked quite comfortable, holding an overall 2.49 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP. Evans is ranked as the 17th-best prospect in the Seattle pipeline on MLB.com and should contend for a major league debut next summer.
