The Tampa Bay Lightning’s disappointing season continued on Saturday night when the team fell to the Washington Capitals by a score of 5-2. The team was unable to muster much offense against the Capitals’ rookie goaltender, Ilya Samsonov, who has now won his past three starts with just five goals allowed during that stretch. The biggest news, which could carry long-term fantasy impact, was the loss of leading scorer Nikita Kucherov. The winger, who has 33 points in 30 games this season, was injured after blocking a shot in the second period. He struggled to get off the ice after sustaining the injury. There is currently no word on the severity of the injury. --Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
