Leon Draisaitl Notches Three Points Thursday
2 years agoEdmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl capped off the regular season with a three-point performance in Thursday's 5-2 victory over San Jose. He scored a power-play goal and had two even-strength assists. Draisaitl finished the year with 32 power-play goals, tying Dave Andreychuk for the second-most in NHL history. Tim Kerr holds the all-time record with 34 power-play goals from the 1985-86 season. The Oilers ended up having the best power play in league history with a 32.4 percent efficiency, and Draisaitl feasted on it all season, notching 62 of his career-high 128 points with the man advantage. With Connor McDavid also having become only the fifth player ever to lead the league in goals, assists and points in a single season, anything else than a deep playoff run will be a disappointment for the Oilers.
