The Toronto Maple Leafs pulled off a surprise deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday. The club acquired forward Jared McCann in exchange for prospect Filip Hallander and a seventh-round draft pick. The decision to trade the breakout center is somewhat surprising but so too is the light return for his services. Last season, the 24-year-old scored 14 goals and recorded 32 points in 43 games.
