Lawrence Butler Hits Three Homers, Drives In Six
5 months agoOakland Athletics outfielder Lawrence Butler had a monster day at the dish on Sunday, launching three two-run homers in an 18-3 demolition of the Philadelphia Phillies. Butler ended the day 3-for-6 and added six RBI and three runs to his trio of homers. The lefty has shown signs of coming on in July, going 13-for-41 (.317) with seven homers, 17 RBI, and two steals in 12 games. He has also moved up to the leadoff spot in the A's lineup for the last two games and will likely stay there as long as he keeps hitting. He has a nice blend of power and speed that could make for a useful fantasy player if he can cut down on the strikeouts. Butler is a solid upside add in deeper leagues and should be watched in all categories leagues.
