Lars Eller Breaks Out With Game-High Three Points
7 years agoWashington Capitals center Lars Eller was in on all three of the Caps’ goals in the 3-2 Game 2 win on Wednesday. With Evgeny Kuznetsov’s early exit from the game, Eller was called upon to step up and help fill the role of top-six forward. Needless to say, Eller responded very well, scoring the Caps’ first and registering the primary assist on their second and third goals. Eller hadn’t scored since Game 2 of the ECF, but finished that series with seven points in as many games. Even since his relegation to the third line as a result of Nicklas Backstrom’s return, Eller has been a solid contributor for the Caps. If Kuznetsov is forced to miss any time, Eller’s stock goes up. You may want to give him some run anyway, as he should be a less expensive DFS play.
