LaMelo Ball Rookie Outlook
4 years agoCharlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball has a strong argument for being the first rookie taken in fantasy basketball redraft leagues this year. Ball is coming off a strong season in the Australian NBL, where he showed that he has a great feel for basketball and can do some marvelous things on a professional court. There are issues though, as Ball's got to figure out his shot, as he shot 37.7 percent from the floor and 25 percent from three in 12 NBL games. Still, he should immediately be able to make positive plays as a passer for the Hornets. Ball would be a great target for fantasy managers interested in punting on field goal percentage, as his size and speed should help him compile counting stats on both ends of the floor, even if efficiency is an issue, as it has been in the preseason.
