Kyle Seager Sitting On Thursday

Seattle Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager is out of the lineup for Thursday's series finale against the Cardinals. Tim Beckham is getting the start at third base and hitting sixth in the lineup. Seager started four straight games after an injured wrist sidelined him from June 26 to June 28. In those four games post-injury, Seager went 0-for-16 with seven strikeouts and one walk. Perhaps there have been some lingering effects from the wrist injury this past week, but Thursday's day off shouldn't be anything too alarming for now. Seager hasn't been much of a fantasy contributor this year since making his debut in late May. He's a worthy hold in AL-only leagues and 14+ team leagues, but can be a drop candidate and left on waivers in more shallow leagues.
