Kyle Freeland Loses With Quality Start
5 years agoThe woes of the Colorado Rockies continued as starting pitcher Kyle Freeland did a rare thing and threw a great outing for the team, but the offense failed to help him out. Freeland tossed six innings while only allowing three earned runs on eight hits, two walks, and three strikeouts, but the Rockies only scored one run in their half of the game. After a horrific start to the season that saw him demoted for an extended period of time, Freeland is on a little bit of a roll with three solid outings in his last four turns. Unfortunately, a seven-run hiccough is mixed in there, and he's still only struck out 12 in his last 20 2/3 innings. He'll catch the Diamondbacks at home in his next start, and it's only recommended for the truly desperate.
