6 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland lasted just three innings against the Diamondbacks on Thursday after allowing five earned runs. Freeland ended up not figuring in the decision in the slug fest that went to extra innings, but the no-decision doesn't help cover up the horrendous line. Freeland hasn't won a game in over a month, and is carrying an ERA north of nine in that time span. He's barely striking anyone out, he's walking more than four batters per nine innings, and he's drawing almost no ground balls out of opposing hitters. He's slated to face the Cubs next week, but at this point, owners shouldn't be surprised if Freeland ends up taking a trip to the Injured List for anything that can be thought up.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
