Kutter Crawford Shut Down, Will Undergo MRI on Wrist
Kutter Crawford (wrist/knee) after he felt more pain in his injured right wrist, according to Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic. The righty will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the issue. This is the second time in the past few weeks that the Red Sox have had to pause Crawford's rehab because of his wrist. He hasn't pitched at all this year after starting the season on the injured list with right-patellar tendinopathy. The 29-year-old made a career-high 33 starts a season ago and posted a 4.36 ERA with 8.58 K/9 and 2.5 BB/9 in 183 2/3 innings. Crawford could factor into Boston's rotation this summer if he comes back, but it's up in the air whether he'll be able to pitch at all in 2025.
