Killian Hayes Rookie Outlook
4 years agoDetroit Pistons guard Killian Hayes should open the season as Derrick Rose's backup, but on a rebuilding Pistons squad, we have to assume that Hayes sees plenty of chances to run the point for this team. He may also get minutes at the two over Delon Wright. Detroit didn't address the backcourt as much as they did their other positions this offseason, further suggesting that they have confidence in the rookie. Hayes can make some great plays with the ball in his hands and averaged 5.4 assists in 18 games in the German BBL and EuroCup last season. He might not be as far along as a shooter as fantasy mangers want, but he'll be productive enough in his minutes to make for a solid pick at the tail end of fantasy drafts. In standard size leagues, Hayes is probably the final rookie who should be drafted.
