Keyonte George Set To Start For Rest Of The Way
10 months agoUtah Jazz guard Keyonte George was back in the starting unit on Monday versus Golden State and looks set to remain there for the rest of the season. "It's time," Jazz head coach Will Hardy said postgame. "Keyonte is a big part of our program. Lauri (Markkanen) and John (Collins) and Walker (Kessler), all three of those guys need facilitators to get them the ball and … Keyonte has been a really good facilitator on the whole…Stepping into that role is ultimately what's best for our team moving forward." George struggled on Monday, posting only five points and four assists with 2-for-10 shooting, but he has excelled in a starting role. In 16 starts across the season, the 20-year-old rookie has averaged 12.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 5.9 assists. He's taking over from Kris Dunn in the starting lineup. However, the move shouldn't affect Dunn too much, as Hardy expects him to still have the same role on the team and play around 20 minutes a night.
