The Brooklyn Nets are promoting Kevin Ollie to interim head coach after firing Jacque Vaughn earlier on Monday. Ollie was the Nets' assistant coach this season and his most recent head coaching experience was during his six-year stint at UConn where he led the Huskies to a 127-79 record and an NCAA championship in 2013-14. Ollie also had a 13-year playing career from 1997 to 2010. In that span, he played for 11 different teams and posted a career average of 3.8 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.5 rebounds per game. This will likely be a trial period for the rest of the season since the Nets aren't going to be competing for a championship any time soon. The head coaching position will likely be revisited in the offseason.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBallerRead More News
