Ketel Marte Removed From Saturday's Game
4 months agoArizona Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte (leg/ankle) was removed early from Saturday's game after attempting to make a tag at second base. His left leg got caught under the bag, which caused him to grab the lower part of his leg/ankle in pain. The 30-year-old was able to walk off the diamond on his own power. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to any updates regarding the infielder's status. Earlier in this game, Marte launched his 30th long ball of the season in the opening frame. The switch-hitter has been enjoying an MVP-caliber season, boasting a stellar .299/.368/.563 line with 81 RBI. Under the hood, he holds an incredible 53.6% hard-hit rate, .299 xBA, and a .537 xSLG, which are among the best marks in the game. If Marte were to miss any extended period of time, Kevin Newman is likely to see most of the starts at the keystone.
