Keibert Ruiz Homers Twice At Triple-A
3 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers prospect Keibert Ruiz has officially found his consistent power stroke. The 22-year-old backstop went 3-for-5 with two home runs — including a grand slam — on Thursday at Triple-A. Ruiz now has 11 homers, a .290 batting average, and an impressive BB-K ratio of 17-18 in 32 games. He has an excellent 137 wRC+ so far on the season. His career-high in homers is 12, which was set back in 101 games in 2018. Ruiz is clearly ready for the majors but with Will Smith catching every day for the Dodgers, there is no clear path to playing time in LA barring an injury or trade. Should he be unleashed on the majors, Rotoballer has him ranked as the sixth-best prospect option for redraft leagues and the fifth-best catching prospect in dynasty baseball.
