University of Tennessee outfielder Kavares Tears was selected by the San Diego Padres in the fourth round (pick No. 134) of the 2024 MLB Draft. The 21-year-old broke out for the Volunteers late in his career and starred for the College World Series winners. He grades out as a solid 50-grad hitter with 55-grade power and speed. Tears has a powerful left-handed swing and an athletic profile that could make him a big-league contributor for the Padres. He could end up being great value for San Diego.--Brian Buckey - RotoBaller
