Free-agent CB Kareem Jackson (Texans) has agreed on a three-year, $33 million deal with the Denver Broncos, a source said Monday. The contract calls for $23 million in guaranteed money. The Broncos moved quick to shore up their secondary, as they ranked 20th against the pass last season with 245.6 yards per game allowed while giving up 56 pass plays of 20 or more yards. Jackson will help, as he was an absolute beast on the back end for Houston in 2018. He posted a career-high 87 combined tackles, a sack, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, two interceptions and a season-high 17 passes defensed. He'll be 31 in April, so that's a lot of money to tie up with a guy presumably headed for the back nine of his career, but he proved at 30 that he is still rather productive and Denver can use all the help they can get to help out its run D.--Daniel DobishRead More News
