5 months agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Julio Rodriguez (quad) had clean results on his MRI, according to Daniel Kramer of MLB.com. Seattle manager Scott Servais expressed that the MRI showed "nothing out of the ordinary." He also added that Rodriguez could be available to pinch-hit on Sunday afternoon even though he was kept out of the starting nine. This is a great sign for the 23-year-old as he clearly avoided a significant injury. The former top prospect was removed from Saturday's match due to discomfort in his right quad. The budding star has had a rough time finding consistency at the plate this season, as he currently sits with a modest .247/.295/.335 line with just eight long balls and 18 swiped bags. However, he does boast an above-average .275 xBA, which could suggest that Rodriguez is due for some positive regression in the second half of the summer.
