Josh Jacobs 2020 Outlook: All In On 28 In Black
5 years agoLas Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs will look to come into the 2020 season healthy after his rookie season was cut short by injury. Although he missed three full games and was nursing a bad shoulder in many others, Jacobs finished the 2019 season with 1,150 yards and seven TD on 242 rushes. He also caught 20 of his 27 targets out of the backfield despite not being the pass-catching back in the offense. If these numbers indicate what is to come in year two, he may be in for a wonderful season, both for himself and especially for his fantasy owners. With Derek Carr or Marcus Mariota behind center, the run game will be a crucial component to the offense for the Raiders. Jacobs will be relied on heavily to produce, and much like Ezekiel Elliott in Dallas, the rest of the weapons on offense could allow him to run wild. Already having Tyrell Williams and Darren Waller in the passing game, the Raiders added another deep threat in speedy Henry Ruggs III in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. With Ruggs coming in to provide more weapons to an offense that needed him, Jacobs could be the primary benefactor. Taking the focus off him can only lead to better looks for him as he tries to avoid a sophomore slump. If you can get Jacobs at the end of the first or beginning of the second round of fantasy drafts, he should prove to be a top-10 asset for your fantasy team at seasons end.
